Elaine became a member of the McGinnis family when her mother (Treva) married Gerald McGinnis. Jo Elaine was the chiild of a former marriage. Treva was formerly married to Kieth Williams who died in 1948.

Byron James McGinnis was married to Mary Anna Nuttman May 13, 1927. Mary Anna was born June 1, 1903. Her parents were Bernard Nuttman, born Oct. 18, 1868 and Anna Gertrude Wohl Nullman born July 15, 1876.

Patricia Louise was born February 18, 1939. Patricia Louise McGinnis and David Lee Fredericks were married February 22, 1958. David Lee was born Aug. 8, 1938, and his parents were Raymond Michael Fredericks born in 1906, and Helen Alberta (Vallentine) Fredericks was born May 3, 1903.

2012-Oct-14 01:49:30 Karen, the administrator said: Mrs. H. C. (Weltha Roberts) Collins was born in Macon County Missouri, February 4, 1852. She came to Christian County with her parents, Joseph and Celia Roberts at the age of five and lived on a farm in Elk Valley until November 17, 1869, when she was married to H. C. Collins. They settled near Selmore on the land which is now the Bruce McGinnis farm, and lived there over thirty years. Ninteen years ago they moved to the farm just outside the city limits north west of Ozark (the Raymond Kissee farm) where they resided until about eight months aqo, moving from there to the home on North Sycamore Street. In the latter part of November 1927, Mrs. Collins suffered a paralytic stroke from which she never recovered, and death relieved her Sunday morning, July 8, 1928.
Funeral services were held at the Selmore Union Church at 9 P. M. Monday July 9, 1928, conducted by Rev. A. T. Mahaney of Springfield, and burial was in Selmore Cemetery under the direction of Chaffin Undertaking Co.
There were nine children, four of them have passed on, five remaining with the father to mourn her departure: Mrs. J. A. McGinnis, Selmore; Mr. Homer Collins, Selmore; Mrs. J. L. Hawkins, Ozark; Mrs Roy Green Ozark. Mrs. T. J. Hawkins, Carthage; one brother Judge J. R. Roberts of Springfield; and a sister Miss Nannie Roberts of Pea Ridge Arkansas. All but the latter were with her at the time of her death. Twenty-five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren also survive.
Deceased had been a member of the Christian Church since early girlhood, and was also a member of the W. C. T. U. and an earnest worker for the White Ribboners. She was also a member of Security Benefit Association.

He moved to Christian County (then part of Greene County) with his parents in 1853. He was a soldier (altho' not of age) in the United States Army, and part of the time was on the plains fighting the Indians. He was a tall, large framed man, weight about 180 lbs., auborn hair and blue eyes. A prominent farmer and stock dealer, in good social standing. A good provider, kind father and husband, honest, hard working man, honourable in his dealings with his fellow man. A believer in God and very strict for morality, but did not adhere to any special Church creed. He was married to Weltha Roberts Nov. 17, 1869 and spent their lives in Selmore and Ozark communities. Weltha was born Feb. 4, 1852 in Macon County, Missouri. She had red hair, blue eyes, 5 ft 4 inches tall, weight about 185 lbs. A member of the Christian Church, truly a Christian mother, kind, tenderhearted and sacrificing for others, industrious and economical and loved by all who knew her. She died July 9, 1928. Uncle Clay died Mar. 10, 1929.

Mildred was born Nov. 14, 1893. Their daughter, Mary Caroline, was born April 18, 1933. She graduated from Ozark High School, also from Southwest Missouri State College and is a school teacher.
William C. Deeds passed away at his home in Ozark, April 25, 1958. Rev. Vance conducted funeral services from Chaffin Chapel. His final resting place was in the Mausoleum in Ozark Cemetery. Chaffin Funeral Home had charge of the services.

Malissa Pearl Deeds, daughter of Joshua T. Deeds and Francis E. (Collins) Deeds was married to William Robert Warren, son of Lafayette (Fate) Warren Aug 7, 1896. Pearl was born January 17, 1875 and Bob was born Sept. 19, 1872.

This is my Great Grandmother! Her son Claude Clay Currin was my Father's (Clay A. Currin) Father. Claude married my Grandmother Laura Marie Arth, and they had two sons before he died of influenza in 1918. My Dad & my Uncle Walter (Hap) Currin, both deceased.
